The 188 Japanese martyrs were priests, catechists, entire families and children who, between 1603 and 1633, refused to renounce the faith.
Biography
Their testimony shows how the Gospel took root in entire homes in the midst of relentless persecution. The Church recognized in his dedication a true martyrdom, lived with fidelity, hope and forgiveness.
