The governor of Palestrina, Italy, had condemned him to be devoured by wild beasts for confessing his faith in Jesus Christ.
Biography
However, no lion did him the slightest harm. The magistrate was so surprised that he fell struck down by a congestion in the same gallery. The executioner was ordered to be brought in and Agapito was beheaded.
