Hermit
He belonged to the Hohenzollern family and entered the Benedictine abbey of Einsiedeln, Switzerland, as a young man.
Biography
By divine inspiration, he knew that his vocation was that of a hermit and he went to live on the island of Ufnau, in Lake Zurich, but he returned to his monastery out of obedience to his superiors, to serve as guardian. He soon obtained dispensation, however, and returned to his island of Ufnau, where he died years after living a holy life.
Practical advice
As an offering to the Lord, with charity correct a fault that should not be ignored by doing everything for the love of God.
