Priest, missionary of the Institute of Foreign Missions of Paris, and martyr.
Biography
He tried to hide from the persecution of the Boxers in China, thinking rather of saving others, but betrayed by the boatman, he was beaten almost to death, taken along a stone path with bare feet to the river, and there cut into small pieces and slit his throat.
