Alfonso María Fusco (1839–1910)

Italian priest, Alfonso María Fusco dedicated his ministry to confession, preaching, catechesis and popular missions.
Biography
Concerned about poor and abandoned children, he opened a free school in his own home and founded the Sisters of St. John the Baptist to educate and protect them. He faced misunderstandings and trials without abandoning trust in God. His priestly life combined Christian formation and human promotion, convinced that caring for children is preparing a more just future and more open to the Gospel.
