Biography

Like his uncles, Saint Clare and brother Rufino de las Florecillas, he belonged to the Offreduccio family, one of the most distinguished in Assisi. He received the vocation one day when he was visiting his aunt in the convent of San Damiano. She immediately decided to become a nun without even asking permission from her family. His penances were such that, according to his biographer, “his days were shortened.”
