Abbot
He was born in Grenoble, France, and became a monk in Luxeuil, where he met Saint Romaric, who owned a large estate in the Vosges.
Biography
They founded two twin abbeys there, one for men and the other for women. Amado became the first abbot of the two and established the custom of praying the Perpetual Office. He spent his last years in a cave, at the bottom of a crevice, where food was lowered to him tied to the end of a rope.

When collecting your heart in silence, listen patiently to a person before advising them and start again with humility if it doesn't work out for you.
