Biography

John Paul II says of this Peruvian nun: "In her we admire above all the exemplary Christian, the contemplative Dominican nun of the famous monastery of Santa Catalina. She was a spiritual teacher and faithful executor of the norms of the Church that urged the reform of the monasteries. Everyone found in her true love. The poor and humble found effective welcome; the Pastors found prayer and consolation; the rich found understanding that did not spare the demand for conversion, the sick found relief; the sad, consolation: the travelers, hospitality; the persecuted, forgiveness; the dying, ardent prayer.”
