Biography
Italian wife, mother, widow and founder, Ana Rosa Gattorno discovered in her family losses a call to serve Christ in those who suffer. After caring for her children and taking on painful trials, she consecrated herself to God and founded the Daughters of Saint Anne, Mother of Mary Immaculate. The congregation cared for the sick, children, the elderly and abandoned people, soon spreading outside of Italy. Her spirituality united the contemplation of Christ crucified with a maternal and courageous charity.
