Andrew, a fisherman and the brother of Simon Peter, was among the first disciples called by Jesus.
Biography
The Gospel of John presents him as someone who brings others to the Lord: first his brother Peter, then the boy with the loaves and fish, and later Greeks who wished to see Jesus. Tradition holds that he preached the Gospel in several regions and died on a cross. His quiet apostolic instinct shows how evangelization often begins through friendship, a personal invitation, and the willingness to place limited resources in Christ’s hands.
