Biography

Capuchin bishop of Treviso, Andrés Jacinto Longhin was a pastor close to priests and faithful in years of war and deep social tensions. Appointed by Saint Pius During the First World War he remained with the population despite the bombings and organized aid for displaced people and destroyed communities. He governed with austerity, solid doctrine and paternal charity.
