Biography

Nine seminarians from Oviedo gave their lives to remain faithful to their vocation during religious persecution in Spain. Six were captured and killed in the Asturias revolution of 1934; Three others died in different places between 1936 and 1937. They were between eighteen and twenty-four years old and knew that being recognized as seminarians exposed them to death. Still, they returned to their studies, preserved their Christian identity, and faced humiliations with confidence in providence. His youth was converted into a priestly testimony before ordination.
