Angela of Foligno (1248–1309)

family mother

She is one of the most famous mystics that the Catholic Church has had, despite the fact that the first years of her life she was a frivolous and vain woman, living in opulence with a waste of luxury.

Biography

She married very young and had several children. When she was 35 years old, her mother, her husband and her children died successively. This tremendous blow made her reconsider and totally convert to God after making a confession of her entire life. She became a Franciscan tertiary and gave away absolutely all of her fortune and castles to the poor. He acquired a very great love for the Passion of Christ and the Eucharist, and he saw Jesus Christ many times in the Sacred Host.

Practical advice

With the desire to sanctify everyday life, forgive a small debt or a fault that still bothers you without seeking applause or recognition.
