Biography
The blessed Ángeles de San José Lloret Martí and their sixteen companions belonged to the Institute of Sisters of Christian Doctrine. Their lives were a living example of trust in their Father God and of evangelical simplicity and availability. Faithful to the mission of their institute, they taught Christian doctrine by word and example. In the religious persecution that occurred in Spain in the civil war of 1936, they remained faithful to their consecration and the demands of their community life. They were martyred, two on September 26, and fifteen on November 20, 1936.
