She was born in Brescia, Italy and entered the Dominican convent in that same city.
Biography
After thirty years she was appointed prioress of the Ferrara convent to begin its much-needed reform. "Know, my sisters," he said upon arrival, "that it is with the intention of forming part of your merits and prayers, and not to keep you in idleness, that the reason why the people of the world give you alms." The nuns of Ferrara converted from their unpious and sacrificial life and kept Antoinette as superior until her death.
