Antoninus, archbishop (+1459)

He was the founder of the famous convent of San Marco in Florence and commissioned Fra Angelico, his novitiate companion and famous painter, to paint all the now famous paintings in this convent.
Biography
Despite his poor health, he was named Archbishop of Florence and was able to win the affection of his people for his kindness and charity, as he gave to the poor everything that fell into his hands. But he also knew how to demand, and he fought against the games of chance, usury and witchcraft that were practiced in this city.
