Biography
He belonged to a distinguished family from Mauretania - today Morocco. In the persecution of Diocletian, when Arcadius was very young, he suffered martyrdom in a very cruel way, because first they showed him all the instruments of torture, and when they did not convince him, they cut him to pieces, piece by piece. He died saying: “The sufferings of this life are not comparable with the glory that awaits us in heaven.”
