Archangels Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael
Archangels
Scripture names three archangels whose missions reveal God’s providence.
Biography
Michael—“Who is like God?”—appears as defender of God’s people against evil. Gabriel—“God is my strength”—announces decisive moments in salvation history, above all the Incarnation to the Virgin Mary. Raphael—“God heals”—accompanies and heals in the Book of Tobit. Angels direct attention away from themselves and toward God; their service invites Christians to adoration, trust, obedience, and spiritual vigilance.
Practical advice
Without seeking recognition, try to reconcile two people without increasing the conflict, doing everything for the love of God.
