An accusation of imprudence forced him to leave her when he was collaborating with a women's work. Undeterred, she founded the Sisters of Mary Most Holy Consolator for the education and care of those in need. Later he entered among the Capuchins, where he lived hidden, serving in confession, preaching and simple works until his death.
