Biography
He died a martyr for not wanting to recognize Henry VII as the spiritual leader of England. In their Glastonbury Abbey, papal bulls, a writing against the king's divorce and a Life of Saint Thomas Beckett were discovered: all this was irrefutable proof that those monks "had a corrupt spirit and that they were traitors to His Majesty." For this "proof", Arthur and other monks were executed.
