An Italian missionary nun, Asunta Marchetti was a true mother to orphans and children of emigrants in Brazil.
Biography
In 1895 he agreed to accompany his brother, the priest José Marchetti, to serve those who had been left helpless far from their homeland. She participated in the birth of the Servants of the Orphaned and Abandoned, today Missionaries of San Carlos Borromeo, and dedicated more than fifty years to children, the sick and migrants. An injury suffered while visiting a sick person caused him long suffering, which he endured without abandoning his service.
