Golden (+856)
Martyr
She was a victim of persecution unleashed by Caliph Mohammed I.
Biography
She had been in the Cuteclara convent, near Córdoba, for thirty years when she was brought before the Muslim court. Terrified at the sight of the torture instruments they showed her, she had a moment of weakness and promised what they wanted. But she soon recovered and, from the next day, proclaimed that there had been a mistake, and that she was more Christian than ever. She was beheaded and her body was thrown into the Guadalquivir.
Practical advice
With simplicity and joy, calmly defend a truth that others prefer to keep silent about and start again with humility if it doesn't work out for you.
