Aurelio (+430)
Bishop
He was bishop of Carthage, Tunisia, and head of the Church of Africa, which consisted of about five hundred bishops.
Biography
He governed it in an exemplary way, helped by his great friend Saint Augustine. The heretics were so numerous and conflictive that Aurelius had to convene thirty-six councils to combat them. Aurelius presided over the assembly and ensured the execution of the decrees, but it was Augustine who spoke, denouncing error, defining doctrine. Aurelius died in 430, the same year as Saint Augustine, after the Vandals invaded the country.
Practical advice
In a spirit of service, pray for a priest who is going through a difficulty and start again with humility if it doesn't go well for you.
