Saint Avertano and Blessed Romeo (+1380) We only know for certain about these two Carmelite monks who arrived at the hospital in Lucca, in Italy, sick with the Black Death.
Biography
Avertanus was a priest and Romeo was a convert brother. They both soon died and were given splendid funerals because their reputation for sanctity had preceded them. Soon their relics were venerated and the two friends were taken to the altars.
