Bartholomew Maria Dal Monte, priest (1726–1778)
missionary priest
Italian priest and preacher, Bartholomew Maria Dal Monte renewed the faith of clergy and people through carefully prepared missions.
Biography
Ordained in 1749 and having a doctorate in theology, he announced the Gospel in sixty-two dioceses, insisting on personal conversion, confession and concrete Christian life. To give continuity to this apostolate, he founded the Pious Work of the Missions, dedicated to training diocesan priests capable of preaching as a team. He also wrote meditations for the sanctification of the clergy. His love for Mary sustained an intense activity, developed without seeking positions or honors.
Practical advice
Prepare with study and prayer the next explanation of faith that you must offer, even if it is to just one person.
