Young Italian laywoman and medical student, Benedetta Bianchi Porro turned a progressive illness into a path of faith and accompaniment to others.
Biography
Neurofibromatosis took away his mobility, hearing, sight and professional projects, but not his ability to love. From his bed he wrote letters, welcomed young people and helped many discover the value of life and the closeness of God. After a pilgrimage to Lourdes he understood that his true healing would be to share the cross of Christ. She died at the age of twenty-seven, full of gratitude and hope.
