Biography
Benedicta Cambiagio married Juan Bautista Frassinello, and both, by mutual agreement, oriented their marriage to a life of continence and service. They cared for a sick sister together and later discerned different forms of consecration. Benedicta founded the Benedictine Sisters of Providence to educate poor girls and protect them from risky situations. Her husband collaborated for a time in the work. Amid misunderstandings and difficulties, she defended the dignity of young women and trained educators. Their story shows a marriage capable of listening to God and transforming marital love into spiritual fruitfulness.
