He was born in Massa Marítima, in Tuscany, Italy, in the year 1380, in the palace of a noble family; At the age of 6 he lost his parents and was orphaned in the care of his aunts in Siena.
Biography
He entered the Order of Friars Minor and was ordained a priest; Upon his entry, the congregation had only 130 friars; At the death of the saint, the number had risen to 4000. Whoever wants to evangelize has to know the gospel! Ten years he spent meditating on the Word of God and praying in solitude. He is considered one of the greatest evangelizers who have ever existed. Death called him in the midst of evangelizing activity in 1444. He was on his way to carry out a great mission among the Neapolitans. As he himself said: "I am going to preach to people petrified in their faith, like the lava of Vesuvius and, at the same time, burning by the infernal fire of their vices."
