Bronislaus Markiewicz (1842–1912)
Founding Salesian priest
Polish priest and founder of the family of Saint Michael the Archangel, Bronislaus Markiewicz dedicated his life to poor and abandoned young people.
Biography
After years of ministry and study, he met Saint John Bosco and professed as a Salesian. Back in Poland he organized homes and workshops where boys received education, work and Christian training under the motto "temperance and work." Economic and ecclesiastical difficulties did not stop his project. She dreamed of welcoming millions of children and clothing both their body and their spirit.
