Camilla Bautista de Varano (1458–1524)

Italian Poor Clare, mystic and writer, Bautista Camila de Varano focused her spiritual life on the interior sufferings of Christ during the Passion.
Biography
Raised at the court of Camerino and trained in letters, she overcame strong family resistance to enter religious life. She founded the monastery of Camerino with other Poor Clares, was an abbess and left works of great depth born from Scripture, the liturgy and her contemplative experience. He also suffered the murder of family members and exile, trials he experienced without abandoning prayer or forgiveness.
