Camilo Costa de Beauregard (1841–1910)
Priest
French priest from a noble family, Camilo Costa de Beauregard renounced a prestigious ecclesiastical career to become "father of the orphans." After a cholera epidemic in Chambéry, he took in children who had lost their families and founded the work of Le Bocage.
Biography
He organized homes, workshops and a farm to offer Christian education and job training to hundreds of young people. He twice rejected the episcopate and gave his assets to the work, which he personally attended to down to its daily details.
Practical advice
Help an orphan or vulnerable young person today with job training, not just temporary help.
