He was an energetic, but pious king.
Biography
He founded hospitals, churches and monasteries. He visited the elderly and the sick, whom he showered with great alms. He died in a conspiracy organized by rebel nobles who did not want to pay taxes. He learned of his fate while hearing mass in the church of San Albano. He took communion and forgave his enemies; Then, prostrate with his arms crossed in front of the altar, he awaited death, which did not take long to arrive.
