Biography

They were beatified on October 1, 1995, and Pope John Paul II said of them during his homily: “They are not heroes of a human war, but educators of youth, who, as religious and teachers, faced their tragic destiny as an authentic testimony of faith.” And of these three Marianists he highlighted: “They died forgiving, certain that they were also retracing the steps of Christ himself.” The blood of the martyrs of a Christ who died on the cross forgiving is a seed of peace and reconciliation.
