Casilda, virgin (11th century)

It is said that she was the daughter of the Moorish king of Toledo, Aldemón, and that she was a very compassionate princess who fed the prisoners.

Biography

He wanted to be baptized, but how to achieve it? At that, a flow of blood began that no doctor could cure and would only heal, a voice from heaven told him, while he was bathing in Lake San Vicente in Briviesca. Her father consented to that trip to the Christian kingdoms, and Casilda, after being healed after bathing in those waters, was baptized and had a hermitage built in that same place where she lived holy until her death.
