Casimir
confessor of faith
(1458-1484) Son of King Casimir IV and Queen Elizabeth, monarchs of Poland and Lithuania.
Biography
In contrast to the other members of the royal court, he was distinguished by his faith, piety, humility and chastity. He had a great love for the Eucharist and for the Virgin Mary. He died at 26 years old. He was named patron saint of Poland in 1602. An example that holiness can be sought and found in all environments.
