Catherine of Bologna (1413–1463)

Educated at the court of Ferrara, Catherine of Bologna cultivated music, painting, literature and the Latin language before embracing religious life.
Biography
She entered among the Poor Clares and put her talents at the service of the community as a novice teacher, artist and spiritual writer. She founded and governed the Corpus Christi monastery in Bologna, accompanying her sisters with humility and discernment. In his work The Seven Spiritual Weapons he taught how to combat temptations through Scripture, vigilance and trust in God. It integrated culture, creativity and deep contemplative life.
