An uneducated French villager, Catherine joined the Daughters of Charity as a nun at the age of twenty-four.
Biography
During his novitiate in Paris, on the Rue de Bac, the Virgin Mary commissioned him to spread devotion to the “Miraculous Medal.” Catherine was sent to the Enghien hospice, where for the rest of her life, she devoted herself to the care of the elderly. Except for his confessors, he never revealed that the Virgin had appeared to him; It was after her death that it was learned that she was the fortune teller of the now famous Bac Street.
