Gaius was originally from Dalmatia.
Biography
On the other hand, he is supposed to be a relative of Diocletian and Saints Gabino and Susanna. For this reason, the same tradition affirms that he lived in Rome in a house next to that of Gabino and Susanna. This same tradition or legend is echoed by the so-called Titulus Suzannae, in Rome, which has always carried the subtitle of ad duas domos (next to the two houses).
