Biography
Spanish priest, bishop and cardinal, Ciriaco María Sancha served in Cuba and in several dioceses in Spain. He defended the freedom of the Church, suffered imprisonment, promoted priestly formation, workers' ministry and the unity of Catholics. She founded the Sisters of Charity of Cardinal Sancha to care for poor children and people with disabilities. He died in Toledo after parting with his assets in favor of those in need. He was remembered as a father of the poor and a tireless servant of the ecclesial communion.
