Cyrus
Martyr
According to legend, there was a judge named Alexander in Tarsus who cruelly persecuted Christians.
Biography
Cyrus was a five-year-old boy who wanted more than anything to be a martyr. One day at a hearing, Ciro appeared before the court, and hugging Judge Alejandro from behind, he shouted, "I'm a Christian!" It took half an hour to silence the child who continued screaming and escaping from the hands of everyone who wanted to catch him. Finally the judge caught him and, furious, grabbed him by the leg and slammed him against the wall. Cyrus was very famous among Christians of the time for his bravery at such a young age. The relics of the little martyr were distributed throughout France and numerous towns bear his name.
