Biography
A German nun, Clara Fey responded to child poverty caused by industrialization by founding the Sisters of the Poor Child Jesus. From a young age he knew the situation of the children of Aachen workers and used his inheritance to open schools and homes for orphans and abandoned children. His work combined education, food, clothing and a deep Christian formation. During the restrictions of the Kulturkampf he had to move the general house to the Netherlands, but he sustained the mission with perseverance and trust in Jesus.
