Boylet Pigtail (1381–1447)
Franciscan nun
Born in Corbie, France, Coleta felt from a young age an intense call to prayer and evangelical poverty.
Biography
After various experiences of consecrated life, she lived as a recluse until she understood that she had to work for the renewal of the Poor Clares. With papal authorization he visited various places, founded or reformed monasteries and restored a more faithful observance of the rule of Saint Clare. He encountered resistance, exhausting travel and political difficulties, but he acted with patience and charity. His reform did not seek novelties, but rather to restore vigor to a vocation that ran the risk of becoming accommodated.
