Conrad
founding bishop
Bishop of Constance, he built numerous churches and hospitals; He made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and accompanied Otto the Great, founder of the Holy Empire, when he went to Rome to be crowned by Pope John XII as Champion of Christianity.
Biography
He is represented with a chalice in his hand, from which a spider hangs. This is reminiscent of the spider that, one day, fell into the chalice after the consecration. Conrad swallowed it out of respect for the precious Blood, although these bugs were then reputed to be all poisonous.
Practical advice
With simplicity and joy, he corrects with charity a fault that should not be ignored as one who works and prays under the loving gaze of God.
