Daniel Brottier (1876–1936)
missionary priest
French Spiritan priest, Daniel Brottier was a missionary in Senegal, but illness forced him to return.
Biography
From France he worked to build the cathedral in Dakar and served as a military chaplain in the First World War, assisting soldiers on the front line. He then directed the work of the Apprentice Orphans of Auteuil and transformed it into a large educational family for homeless youth.
