Martyred bishops
Dionysius, the first bishop of Paris, suffered martyrdom around the middle of the 3rd century.
Biography
His body was buried north of the city. Around 495, Saint Genevieve had a basilica built over her tomb. Two companions are associated with him in martyrdom, Eleuterio and Rústico.
Practical advice
As an offering to the Lord, ask for strength to be loyal to Christ in difficulties with external order and internal recollection.
