Donald (7th century)
Abbot
He was born, lived and died in Scotland.
Biography
He lived in a large mansion in Ogilvy with his extended family. The day he lost his wife, she commissioned him before she died to find a good husband for each of her nine daughters. Donald knew how to ease the burden, since the day after the funeral he told his daughters that they had a religious vocation, and apparently, they did, since rarely has one seen a more fervent community and a happier abbot in the last years of his life.
Practical advice
In the midst of your ordinary work, exercise authority as a service and not as a privilege with peace, perseverance and good humor.
