Donatus (592–660)
Abbot
He was born and died in Besançon, France, son of the Duke of Valdèlene.
Biography
He was appointed abbot of Luxeuil and later bishop of Besançon. He wrote a rule for the female convent that his mother had founded in that same town and which is still preserved.
Practical advice
Without seeking recognition, be grateful for the good received through the sacraments and start again with humility if it doesn't work out for you.
