Edmund Bojanowski, layman (1814–1871)

Founding priest

A Polish layman, Edmund Bojanowski anticipated with his life the importance of the apostolate of the faithful and promoted numerous works for peasant families.

Biography

Although his fragile health prevented him from completing university studies and becoming a priest, he organized schools, libraries, help during epidemics, and care centers for poor rural children. She founded the Congregation of the Servants of the Immaculate Conception to continue this educational and charitable mission. He knew how to bring together people from diverse backgrounds around good and was remembered as a cordially good, prudent and generous man.
