Queen of Poland, Hedwig put her position at the service of evangelization, culture and the poor.
Biography
At a very young age he accepted a marriage that favored the union of Poland and Lithuania and paved the way for the peaceful evangelization of the Lithuanian people. His decision matured before the Wawel crucifix, seeking the good of the Church above his preferences. He founded a college to train Lithuanian priests, restored the University of Krakow and donated his jewelry to it. He personally cared for the needy, protected hospitals and promoted peace. She died at the age of twenty-five after giving birth.
