Elías de San Clemente (1901–1927)
Dominican nun
An Italian barefoot Carmelite, Elías de San Clemente—born Teodora Fracasso—lived a brief hidden existence of prayer and offering.
Biography
Since she was a child she wanted to consecrate herself and, after participating in Eucharistic and Dominican associations, she entered the Carmel of Bari. She faithfully carried out sewing and sacristy tasks, going through misunderstandings without losing charity. Inspired by Saint Teresa of Jesus and Saint Therese, she sought to remain close to the crucified Christ. He died at the age of twenty-six due to a rapid illness.
Practical advice
Accept a correction today without immediately justifying it and respond later with a silent work of charity.
